When should I tap?
You need days above freezing and nights below freezing for the best sap runs. Tapping usually is between 2/15-3/10.
How deep should I drill a tap hole?
Hole depth is between 1-2.5"
How many gallons of sap to make a gallon of syrup?
It depends on the sugar content of the sap. On average you need 40 gallons.
What size should I drill the tap hole?
There are two sizes available: 5/16 and 7/16.
